Downdraft extractors from Kube

A frequently sought after function in newly designed Kube kitchens today are cook zones in an Island. Not every home can take an island with counter space allocated to a 6 ring hob, but if you are blessed with the space, this layout is very effective. Consider an Island that faces out onto your open plan dining and living space. You, as an enthusiastic cook or professional chef, can face your family or guests while preparing a meal.
When you design a hob in an Island, you now have to consider extraction. There are many fabulous ceiling mounted Island extractors available on the market today. They can be a real statement piece in your kitchen.
An alternative to the traditional Island extractor is to consider downdraft extraction systems. Downdraft extraction was historically very expensive and only available from exclusive brand manufacturers at prices exceeding €3,000 & €4,000. Kube has sourced  two downdraft products in the last 18 months that have become very popular with our customers. Prices start at around  €1,100.
The benefits of downdraft over conventional extraction are simple but very effective. The motor on a downdraft extractor is outside on your external wall, so any noise generated is far away from your tranquil cook zone. More importantly, the extractor fan can be tucked away in the surface of your Island when not in use. Touch control raises the fan into position when your culinary activities begin. Go on impress your friends at your next dinner party with your state of the art down draft extractor – be a little different .
