Kube Bray – A Successful Launch
Friday, August 13th, 2010
A half year trading milestone has been reached at Kube’s Kitchen Design Centre in Bray. Kube Kitchens introduced their first “store within a store” concept with the launch of a Kitchen Design Centre at D.I.D Electrical’s store in Bray Co. Wicklow. Since it’s opening in February 2010, Kube has experienced strong footfall and trading figures and are planning to expand the concept in the coming months.
Officially opened by the well known broadcaster and rugby pundit, George Hook, earlier this year, Kube have delivered on their commitment to present improved value and service for their customers. Kitchen and appliance consumers can now shop for an affordable designer kitchen and their entire appliance needs, from two separate companies, under one roof.
This concept, the first partnership of its kind for the kitchen industry in Ireland, allows clients an opportunity to capitalise on the aggressive pricing structure of both brands. Both D.I.D Electrical and Kube have considerable buying power in their areas of expertise. This is translating into value for the end consumer.
Edward McNally, Director of Kube, explains “many of our kitchen customers over the years have purchased integrated appliances independently. With our partnership with D.I.D, customers now have the opportunity to browse D.I.D’s vast product selection and avail of Kube’s excellent Kitchen design service all in one easy visit.” Edward added, “we need to continue offering innovative services that make it easy for the customer to experience Kube’s products and services. This is central to the on-going development of our business.”
To see a selection of affordable designer Kitchens from leading European manufacturers, visit Kube at their showrooms in Balbriggan, Sandyford, The Long Mile Road or at D.I.D’s Electrical Store in Bray. Co. Wicklow.

Smart Move by D.I.D. and Kube.
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010
Innovation in a climate of economic adversity is essential for Irish business at the moment. The ability to offer your customers a new concept that will present improved value and service will define the companies who grow and those who struggle during this recession. The announcement this week that D.I.D. Electrical (www.DID.ie) and Kube Kitchens (www.kubekitchens.ie) have developed a strategic partnership, is a demonstration of one such move.
Consumers will now be able to shop for a designer kitchen and their entire appliance needs, from two separate companies, under one roof. Both companies have adopted the “store within a store” concept and opened their first venture at D.I.D. Electrical’s store in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Kube, the Kitchen specialist who has very quickly established a reputation for delivering high-end designer German kitchens at affordable prices, has fitted out DID’s Bray store with a selection of contemporary and traditional kitchens. These kitchens showcase an array of DID’s integrated appliances giving the consumer an opportunity to capitalise on the aggressive pricing structure of both brands. The two companies have considerable buying power in their areas of expertise. This partnership allows the consumer benefit from lower supply chain costs.
D.I.D. Electrical, Irelands leading electrical retailer, are the first company of their kind to do this in Ireland. John Houlihan, managing director of DID explains, “When we first considered the concept, we did not realise how effective this could be. Both Kube and DID operate in the same market space. Customers, who for years have sourced their appliances independently from their Kitchen specialist, now have the opportunity to do this in one visit”.
Edward McNally, director of Kube, added, “our core business is designing and delivering dream designer German kitchens, we have always supplied kitchen appliances as part of our offering, but have recognised the customer’s desire to source their white goods from specialist electrical companies” This partnership gives the consumer an effortless opportunity to continue exercising their historic buying patterns.
D.I.D. and Kube, both wholly owned Irish companies, plan to roll out the next phase of this venture, with a Kube Kitchen Design Centre being installed in 3 additional DID’s stores.
